Here's my 30/30 theory on this year's presidential election... about 30% of the voters are solidly for John McCain... about 30% are solidly for Barack Obama. The election will hinge on what the remaining 40% decides. That 40%, in my view, is made up of four groups of people. Those who are genuinely undecided.... those who don't follow politics much at all.... those who think all politicians are the same... and, finally, those who are REALLY STUPID... All of the negative ads, the smear campaigns... are directed at this block. It takes half of that 40% plus one.... to win it all.. We usually get who we deserve..... see you at the polls.

That Bela Karolyi needs to be more opinionated.... I still can't get over the enormity of Michael Phelps's achievement. As in poker, one glitch and he would have come up short... unbelievable.. As heartbreaking as it was to watch the struggles of Alicia Sacramone... you know 100 million Americans wanted to give her a hug... Just as the Michael Phelps drama was unfolding, I saw Usain Bolt do the unthinkable... He ran the greatest 100m in history.... and he pulled up 20 meters before the finish! The guy jogged to a 9.69! I can't wait for the 200m.
49er FAITHFUL...
Seems like it's been 50 years since I enjoyed a 49er game from beginning to end. I may save this one, as it may be the best win of the year. What do you think they're saying in Green Bay? JTO ran the team beautifully, but I thought Alex Smith did fine as well. I think Alex deserves to a chance to get some first team reps against the Bears...

ESPN has begun airing the 2008 events.. Tuesday evenings in prime time... lots of well known pros won bracelets this year, so there'll be plenty of familiar faces to root for. As you know the Final Nine in the Main Event are on hiatus until November! Winner will earn around 9 Million dollars! And, thanks to Davin and Buddy at Capitol Casino for the Free Roll tournament a few weeks ago... had a great time at Sacramento's Number One Poker Room..... And a big win for Phil Hellmuth (can he be any more annoying?) on a recent Poker After Dark. He dominated everyone Heads-Up... he's got to be the only guy who causes this... when he rolls over people, I'm steaming...
